• Company information (company name, size, industry, billing details)
• Job descriptions and role requirements posted on the platform
• Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)
• Screening responses submitted through the platform

Information generated automatically:

• Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent)
• Device and browser information
• IP address and approximate location
• Log data (error reports, activity timestamps)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

02 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate, improve, and personalize ELINSI. Specifically:

• Create and manage your account and provide our core services
• Match candidates to relevant job opportunities using our AI engine
• Generate ranked shortlists, fit scores, and pre-screen reports for employers
• Send automated screening questions and process responses
• Train and improve our AI matching models (using aggregated, de-identified data)
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, screening notifications)
• Send service updates and product announcements (you can opt out)
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

03 Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• With employers (candidates): Your profile, skills, and fit score are visible to companies you are matched with or apply to through ELINSI
• With candidates (employers): Your company profile and posted roles are visible to matched candidates
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers (cloud infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ELINSI, our users, or the public
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer to the new entity under equivalent privacy protections

04 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Account data is retained until you delete your account, plus 30 days for recovery purposes
• Candidate profiles are retained for 3 years of inactivity before archival
• Job postings and associated shortlists are retained for 2 years
• Billing and financial records are retained for 7 years as required by law
• Support communications are retained for 2 years

You can request deletion of your data at any time. See Section 5 for your rights.

05 Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (US, Canada, EU/EEA), you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Restriction: Request we limit how we process your data
• Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time

07 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• Access to production systems is restricted and audited
• We conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords

08 Children's Privacy

ELINSI is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact privacy@elinsi.com.

09 International Data Transfers

ELINSI operates in the United States and Canada. If you access our services from outside these jurisdictions, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws.

For users in the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission for international transfers. We ensure adequate protections are in place wherever your data is processed.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of ELINSI after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
